Stuck at 0-99% when starting up Nox App Player? Here is the fix
Some of our users have reported the Nox App Player stuck at 99% while starting up. First, please disable windows firewall, quit the antivirus on your pc and try again. If the problem remains, you can see the two different situations and each one could try the solutions below.
Situation One: Nox stucks at 0-99% in startup and receive no error message
Solution One: some AMD CPU may encounter this due to the affect of amd-v. Please enalbe VT (Virtulization Technology) of your computer following this post: Enalbe VT to get better performance
Solution Two: Another possible cause is Graphics Card or it’s driver does not support to run Nox. Please download and run this little tool we have developed: OpenGLChecker. If your OpenGL version < 2.0 you need to change your graphics card. If your OpenGL version ≥ 2.0 but still stuck at 99%, then you need to update your Graphics Card driver.
Solution Three: If you set your file system to FAT32 it may cause this problem because FAT32 has a limit to the maximum size of each single file. In this case, please change your file system to NTFS or reinstall Nox to a NTFS disc.
Solution Four: CPU only receives part of the parameters returned from Android thus Nox can’t start. This a bit more complex and to fix it. Our develpers need to check your PC through remote access. If are are willing to do so, please contact us by email: [email protected] and we will arrange a time for the remote access and assistant. Please note that you need to install the software called TeamViewer to create such connection and you can end the process any time you want during the remote control.
Situation Two: Nox stucks at 99% in startup and then receive this error message: System has problems to start, please try to repair!
Note that this only applies to case of stucking at 99% due to system reasons. Do not change any thing in this tool provided unless you know what you are doing.
1. Run Nox App Player as administrator (right-click nox.exe or the Nox icon on your desktop and choose “Run as administrator”)
2. Download this software called “Windows Repair“, unzip it to your computer.
3. Double click to start the “Windows repair” software, go to “Repairs” tab – open repairs (note: you could choose to back up your registry first if you worry any problem this might cause)
4. In the next window appeared, click “start repairs”. The default setting is to restart your computer after repair. If you don’t want to, please un tick the box as shown below before you start.
If the above does not solve your problem, please do not hesitate to contact us for further help through [email protected]. Please make sure to include these information in your email:
1) A screenshot of the error message;
2) description of the problem;
3) your computer specifications;

C:\Users\<Your Name>\vmlog.log
Hello. I got a problem at lauch as Windows unable to access to device, path or specified file. Maybe i got no appropriate authorizations to acess to the element. What can i do ? Thanks !
Hi, Adam. There might be two causes for this problem. 1. The shortcut on your desktop is not correctly created. In this case, please right click the Nox icon on your desktop——go to file location——double click nox.exe to lauch Nox. 2. The Nox App Player on your computer is not correctly installed. In this case, please uninstall it completely and go our our official webiste: https://www.bignox.com to download the latest version and re-install.
In spite of following these instructions, nothing changes. The Windows Repair utility remains stuck at 1% and Nox remains stuck at 99%. Any other way of resolving this?
Hi, Sayan, you could also try the method in the next post: https://www.bignox.com/blog/?p=26

Hi, Shubam, could you please send me a screenshot of the error message? You can send it to [email protected] or give me a link where I could view it online.
hey, i decided to try out your nox app player today so i could play an android game with mouse and keyboard.
i downloaded and installed the programm but when i started it it got stuck loading at 99% with the following message:
“System failed to start,please try to repair!”
so i made sure my gpu drivers are up to date and did all the steps described in Situation 2, even did all the steps in the “windows repair” software itself but i’m still getting the same error message. can you help me?
Hi, Felix, do you have bitdefender installed and VT activated on your computer? It is recently confirmed that the antivirus software bitdefender will conflict with VT and cause Nox to stuck at 99%. You need to turn VT off to fix it. If this is not your case, don’t hesitate to contact us through [email protected] to arrange a remote assistant by TeamViewer.
i downloaded and installed the program but when i started it it got stuck loading at 99%. what should i do
Hi, Pawan, does none of the methods in this post help? If so, our engineer could offer to help fix this problem through remote access to your computer by TeamViewer. Please let me know if this is OK for you and when would be a convenient time to do so? You can send us a email to [email protected]
Does this issue got any other solution than the ones posted here? I have Virtulization Technology on, my graphical card is updated (OpenGL version ≥ 2.0), VT is enabled in BIOS, my HDD is on NTFS…
Hi, Lisandro, in this case, our developer could offer to help fix the problem by remote assistance through TeamViewer. Please let me know if this is OK with you and contact us by [email protected] to arrange a proper time.
i’m stuck at 99% after enable the VT.
Hi, Roberto, does your Nox work fine before you enable VT? If you don’t mind, we could arrange our engineer to do remote assistant by teamviewer. Let us know a time that works for you by [email protected].
Hi there. I came across Nox player when I was searching for app player software. After installation, the app player loads fine till 99% but after that, it gets stuck at that point. I think the problem might be due to virtualization not being enabled, but there isn’t virtualization option in the BIOS. So, any solution for my problem?
Hi, Abishkar, VT is a plus for computer performance but it is not a must for Nox to run. Your case might be caused by other factor. If you don’t mind our engineer could do a remote assistant to help you fix this problem by Team Viewer. Kindly write to us at [email protected] to arrange a time if you prefer.
