But one of them, to hide in a cardboard box for 10 seconds, requires you find the new Mythic-tier cardboard box item–a nod to the stealth-action series from Konami, of course. Here’s where to find a coardboad box in Fortnite.

Fortnite cardboard box location

The most unlikely of all Mythic items in Fortnite, the simple-looking cardboard box, can be found randomly in any given round via chests all across the island. But if you’re like me, you’ll want something more reliable to get your challenge completed quickly.

Visit Solid Snake at the location marked in the image, then buy a cardboard box from him to beat the loot RNG.
Visit Solid Snake at the location marked in the image, then buy a cardboard box from him to beat the loot RNG.

For that, there’s one place to go: Visit the Solid Snake NPC on the island and buy the box from him. He can be found on the small island north of Lavish Lair on the main island.

Purchase a cardboard box, then hide in it for 10 seconds by throwing it on the ground and jumping into it. While you’re at it–assuming you’re safe to do so–don’t forget to also travel 150 meters while inside the box, as that will check off a separate challenge available in Fortnite this week.

Solid Snake is joined by another familiar face coming soon to Fortnite, not to mention more crossovers with TMNT and Family Guy.

Pokemon Sleep’s Newest Update Adds A New Sleep Area, Pokemon Species, And Recipes To Cook https://www.bignox.com/blog/noxplay1706063927jHgNmR0ZCO7BzCuZ6Banj/ Wed, 24 Jan 2024 10:38:47 +0000 https://www.bignox.com/blog/noxplay1706063927jHgNmR0ZCO7BzCuZ6Banj ...KEEP READING...]]> This week, Pokemon Sleep will get its largest update since launch with a new sleeping area, recipes to cook with a brand new ingredient, more Pokemon species to discover snoozing, and energy replenishing features. This new update also attempts to fix many of the game’s bugs such as Pokemon not using energy, while players sleep, and Pokemon having less energy in the morning than the night before.

Lapis Lakeside is Pokemon Sleep’s newest research area and brings the total research area number to five, joining Greengrass Isle, Cyan Beach, Taupe Hollow, and Snowdrop Tundra. To unlock Lapis Lakeside, players will need to have registered 240 Sleep Styles. This new area brings nine new Pokemon species to discover in Lapis Lakeside such as Dratini, Stufful, and Ralts.

The update also adds seven more recipes alongside a new ingredient, Greengrass Corn. It can be assumed that the nine new Pokemon will have Greengrass Corn as an ingredient they can gather and all of the new recipes involve using Greengrass Corn. Now, your Pokemon will eat cooked dishes with you and it will restore a tiny amount of energy. The lower the amount of energy your Pokemon have, the higher the amount of energy they will receive.

Some more changes with this update include Pokemon picking up ingredients even if your bag is full, Facebook linking being unusable soon, Energy Pillows capping at 100%, and your Snorlax gaining less strength from sleeping. For more information on bug fixes with this upcoming update, you can check out the official Pokemon Sleep page.

The Lapis Lakeside update goes live on January 24 at 3 PM local time. Be sure to check out our Pokemon Sleep Recipes List to get caught up before the new recipes drop.

Palworld Breaks CS: GO’s Steam Concurrent Record, Now No. 2 All Time https://www.bignox.com/blog/noxplay1706063924z25DpnLTUwOqu0daIh3cl/ Wed, 24 Jan 2024 10:38:45 +0000 https://www.bignox.com/blog/noxplay1706063924z25DpnLTUwOqu0daIh3cl ...KEEP READING...]]> Palworld continues to break records. The “Pokemon with guns” game that has courted intrigue and drama since it was released on January 19 has now surpassed CS: GO’s all-time peak concurrent record of 1.81 million. Palworld reached 1.83 million peak concurrent players.

Palworld is now No. 2 on the all-time list for peak concurrent players, but it trails the No. 1 game–PUBG–by a wide margin. That game reached an astonishing 3.2 million peak concurrent players on Steam in January 2018. PUBG achieved that milestone when it was a paid game, too, so Palworld remains No. 2 all time for peak concurrent players for both free and paid games on Steam.

Palworld has now sold more than 6 million copies across PC and Xbox. The game has surely reached a much bigger audience than that, though, as it’s also available on Xbox Game Pass. The player population could be even larger if Palworld comes to PlayStation 5, but it’s unclear if that will ever happen.

Palworld’s release hasn’t been totally smooth, and that’s always expected given it launched as an Early Access/Game Preview title. Developer Pocketpair said the team is addressing these issues “with the highest priority.”

People have levied claims of plagiarism against Pocketpair and Palworld, and the company’s CEO says the studio’s employees are getting death threats over this.

Currently, however, there is no irrefutable evidence to suggest Pocketpair plagiarized anything, despite the accusations being made. For more Palworld content, check out our Palworld guides hub, which breaks down everything you need to know.

Nier Reincarnation Is Shutting Down, But More Content Is Coming First https://www.bignox.com/blog/noxplay1706063923D5cBJFxJOa6HQvbNobgzy/ Wed, 24 Jan 2024 10:38:43 +0000 https://www.bignox.com/blog/noxplay1706063923D5cBJFxJOa6HQvbNobgzy ...KEEP READING...]]> Square Enix has announced that Nier Reincarnation’s final chapter will be released on March 28 and the game will shut down on April 29.

“We regret to inform you that NieR Re[in]carnation will be ending service with the conclusion of The People and the World,” Square Enix said in a statement. However, more content, characters, events, and campaigns will be released until the game fully comes to an end.

Final roadmap for Nier Reincarnation
Final roadmap for Nier Reincarnation

The Premium Shop has been discontinued, along the ability to purchase items with real-world currency. As such, Square Enix will adjust reward and drop parameters. If players clear five quests, they will earn 100 skip tickets rather than 50. Story and dungeon quests will also cut the stamina requirement by half and increase the drop rate tenfold.

Nier Reincarnation was released in 2021 for iOS and Android, bringing the mobile game to an end after 2.5 years. Unfortunately, there has been no word on whether the game will be coming to other platforms, given that Nier series has been gaining popularity with the releases of Nier: Automata and NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139…

Another popular mobile game, World of Demons, ended its service earlier this month.

Fortnite Adds Even More Skins From Metal Gear Solid, TMNT, And Family Guy https://www.bignox.com/blog/noxplay1706063921UB8yihSJoi5vJc1e8aDsB/ Wed, 24 Jan 2024 10:38:42 +0000 https://www.bignox.com/blog/noxplay1706063921UB8yihSJoi5vJc1e8aDsB ...KEEP READING...]]> Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 is in full swing, but ever since it began back in December, there’s one skin we haven’t been able to try out yet: Solid Snake, the hero of Metal Gear Solid, was shown in the debut trailer and has teased us on the landing page ever since. Today, Fortnite finally gets a taste of tactical espionage action, but as it turns out, Snake isn’t coming alone. Not only is a friend from MGS joining the fun, but two other collaborations are about to get major expansions.

First, Snake’s partner-in-stealth–Metal Gear Solid 2’s Raiden–will be hitting the Item Shop soon, after he was featured in a teaser video for Snake’s arrival. According to prominent Fortnite leaker iFireMonkey, the Raiden skin will come with an alternate masked style, a katana pickaxe with sheath back bling, and a weapon wrap.

Two other Fortnite-focused dataminers have found some other interesting tidbits hiding under the radar as well. First, HypeX has discovered evidence of more Family Guy skins coming to the game, which will serve as a companion to Peter Griffin, who appears in the battle pass.

Furthermore, X user andredotuasset has also shared images of assets which hint that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will soon feature their own landing page, as the “season within a season” for Chapter 5 Season 1. This will follow other major collaborations like Jujutsu Kaisen and Dragon Ball, who had similar limited-time events.

The supposed landing page features Shredder, which suggests the villainous ninja will be the top prize for this mini-event. Andredotuasset also says the TMNT event will play out in three phases, with the Shredder page serving as the final phase.

Fortnite is available to download now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile devices.

Riot Games Lays Off 530 Employees, Sunsetting Riot Forge https://www.bignox.com/blog/noxplay17059774318bjHee33qmEFDz0zL43I8/ Tue, 23 Jan 2024 10:37:11 +0000 https://www.bignox.com/blog/noxplay17059774318bjHee33qmEFDz0zL43I8 ...KEEP READING...]]> Riot Games, the team behind League of Legends and Valorant, has announced that it has laid off 530 employees. This equates to roughly 11% of the workforce at the studio.

The news comes from a Riot Games blog post where A. Dylan Jadeja, the CEO of Riot Games, wrote, “I’m accountable for the changes we’re making and where we’re headed in the future. So, I think it’s important for me to share how we got here and how the next few days will work.”

A big reason why Jadeja claims the layoffs are happening is because, in 2019, the company decided to create “new experiences” and broaden its portfolio. The company was forced to bring more people on board within just a few years.

Jadeja continues by explaining that Riot Games is “a company without a sharp enough focus,” and many of the “significant investments” that have been made aren’t paying off the way the studio expected them to.

“Our costs have grown to the point where they’re unsustainable, and we’ve left ourselves with no room for experimentation or failure – which is vital to a creative company like ours. All of this puts the core of our business at risk.”

According to Jadeja, the studio tried to avoid layoffs by having people work on different projects, slowing the hiring rate, and even putting hiring freezes in place.

“A decision like this has a massive impact on people’s lives and on the culture of Riot. We’re not doing this to appease shareholders or to hit some quarterly earnings number – we’ve made this decision because it’s a necessity. It’s what we need to do in order to maintain a long-term focus for players.”

Jadeja goes on to say that some Riot employees will begin to receive emails informing them that they’ve been let go. After that, each employee will have the chance to meet up “with their Senior Leader and People team partner and discuss next steps within 48 hours,” but the process of doing this “may take several weeks to finish.”

Those who lost their roles and aren’t moving into new positions will receive the following:

  • Severance Pay
  • Cash Bonus
  • Health Benefits
  • Play Fund, Wellness Fund
  • Equity
  • Computer
  • Career Support
  • Rioter Assistance Program
  • Visa Support
  • Riot Email Access

Near the end of the blog post, Jadeja states that the company is still invested in all its games and committed to “esports and entertainment.” But because of the layoffs, this will affect some of their games, such as Legends of Runeterra. Going forward, the studio will reduce its team and shift its “focus to the ‘Path of Champions’ PvE game mode.” In addition, the company will be sunsetting Riot Forge after the release of Bandle Tale.

In another blog post, the company explained that its vision for League of Legends, Valorant, Teamfight Tactics, and Wild Rift “is more ambitious than ever.” It’ll focus more on these teams so they can work on what the community has been asking for and on more content overall. On top of that, Riot Games is still working on Project L, Arcane Season 2, and other unannounced projects.

Unfortunately, this is just the most recent story of layoffs this year. Unity had major layoffs which impacted 25% percent of its workforce, and indie publisher Thunderful announced it would be laying off 20% of its staff.

Best Honkai: Star Rail Dr. Ratio Build, Skills, And Team Comps https://www.bignox.com/blog/noxplay1705718227Mz4rcxplCXUuBnKUpAPKC/ Sat, 20 Jan 2024 10:37:08 +0000 https://www.bignox.com/blog/noxplay1705718227Mz4rcxplCXUuBnKUpAPKC ...KEEP READING...]]> Dr. Ratio rivals Herta’s arrogance and Ruan Mei’s eccentricity. As a member of the Intelligensia Guild, he has a low tolerance for ignorance. Unlike the Genius Society, the Guild believes that the pursuit of knowledge should be free to anyone willing to learn and not just a select few. Dr. Ratio is a scholar and teacher at the Guild, known for his odd habit of wearing a plaster mask like the kind you’d see on a Greek statue or in a museum. (It’s apparently to block out the idiots.)

Dr. Ratio is the first member of the Guild to appear as a playable character in Honkai: Star Rail. He’s also the first limited-time 5-star character that HoYoverse has offered to its players. Here’s a quick rundown of Dr. Ratio’s abilities and his best Light Cones, Relics, and team comps.

Dr. Ratio specializes in two things that set him apart from other DPS characters: increased damage against debuffed enemies and follow-up attacks. Some characters deal extra damage against enemies afflicted with specific status effects (looking at you, Kafka) and those famous for their follow-up attacks (Topaz, Blade, Himeko, etc), but these abilities haven’t been combined into one character until now. These traits make Dr. Ratio more of a team player than his personality would suggest.

His Ultimate triggers a follow-up attack whenever his teammates attack the same enemy. Meanwhile, his Talent raises the chance of triggering a follow-up attack when Dr. Ratio uses his Skill. That’s not including his Ascension Passives, which increase Crit Rate, Crit DMG, and damage dealt to debuffed targets even more. Be sure to read the exact triggers below, though.

These are the descriptions of his abilities starting at Level 1.

Dr. Ratio abilities

Dr. Ratio can't stop, won't stop learning.
Dr. Ratio can’t stop, won’t stop learning.

Basic attack: Mind is Might

Dr. Ratio deals Imaginary DMG equal to 50 percent of his attack to a single enemy.

Skill: Intellectual Midwifery

Dr. Ratio deals Imaginary DMG equal to 75 percent of his attack to a single enemy.

Ultimate: Syllogistic Paradox

Syllogistic Paradox boasts high damage and triggers hard-hitting follow-up attacks. Dr. Ratio deals Imaginary DMG equal to 144 percent of his attack to a single enemy and applies the Wiseman’s Folly effect to the target. This effect triggers his follow-up attack whenever allies attack the same enemy up to two times. It only affects the most recent target of his Ultimate and the triggers reset each time his Ultimate is used.

Talent: Cogito, Ergo Sum

When using his Skill, Dr. Ratio has a 40 percent chance of launching a follow-up attack that deals 135 percent of his ATK as Imaginary DMG. The chance of a follow-up attack increases by 20 percent for each debuff the target has. If you already have two character to apply debuffs, that can rise to 80 percent without Dr. Ratio even applying one himself.

Technique: Mold of Idolatry

Mold of Idolatry creates a special dimension using a decoy that taunts enemies for 10 seconds. Dr. Ratio inflicts 15 percent SPD Reduction on any enemies within this dimension for two turns. Don’t stand within the space or the enemy will attack you.

Prioritize leveling up Dr. Ratio’s abilities in this order: Talent > Ultimate > Skill > Basic Attack.

Ascension Passives

  • Ascension 2 Passive–Summation: When Dr. Ratio uses his Skill, for every debuff on the target, his CRIT Rate increases by 2.5 percent and CRIT DMG by 5 percent. This effect can stack up to 6 times.
  • Ascension 4 Passive–Generosity: When Skill is used to attack a target, there is a 100 percent base chance to reduce the attacked target enemy’s Effect RES by 10 percent for 2 turns.
  • Ascension 6 Passive–Courage: When dealing DMG to a target that has 3 or more debuffs, for each debuff the target has, the DMG dealt by Dr. Ratio to this target increases by 10 percent, up to a maximum increase of 50 percent.

Best Light Cone for Dr. Ratio

Don't bother with Baptism of Pure Thought if you have Cruising in the Stellar Sea.
Don’t bother with Baptism of Pure Thought if you have Cruising in the Stellar Sea.

Dr. Ratio’s best Light Cone is Baptism of Pure Thought, a five-star Light Cone specifically tailored for his kit. It increases his Crit DMG and further raises it with every debuff, something you’d already want to take advantage of with his Talent. It even increases DMG and ignores the target’s DEF by 20 percent for two turns after Dr. Ratio hits it with his Ultimate. The only downside to this Light Cone is the number of Rail Passes you’d need to use to get it. It’s a limited-time Light Cone that runs alongside Dr. Ratio’s banner.

Any of the other five-star Hunt Light Cones will also do a fine job. Topaz’s Worrisome, Blissful increases Crit Rate and DMG from follow-up attacks, which also works well with Dr. Ratio. Sleep Like The Dead raises Crit DMG by default, but it also raises Crit Rate whenever the user’s Basic ATK and Skill doesn’t result in a CRIT hit. These also depend on gacha, though.

The best free-to-play option is hands-down the Cruising in the Stellar Sea Light Cone from Herta’s Shop. You can earn it by grinding through the Simulated Universe, which you’ll need to do anyway to earn Ornaments. This is something you can start doing, even within the early hours of the game, so there’s no excuse to miss it.

If you must use a four Light Cone (for example, if you happen to already have Cruising in the Stellar Sea equipped on another character), then you can try Only Silence Remains or Return to Darkness. Only Silence Remains is a gacha Light Cone you might already have from pulling on banners. Return to Darkness comes from the Nameless Honor Battle Pass, which you can buy. (Again, I’d recommend Cruising in the Stellar Sea over that because it is free.)

Arrows or Darting Arrow, two three-star Light Cones you will get early in the game, can also work as a stand-in while waiting for better Light Cones. I’d personally choose Arrows because of the Crit Rate boost, even if it only lasts for three turns.

These are the descriptions for each Light Cone mentioned above (at Level 1):

  • Baptism of Pure Thought (5-star): Increases the wearer’s CRIT DMG by 20 percent. For every debuff on the enemy target, the wearer’s CRIT DMG dealt against this target increases by 8 percent, stacking up to 3 times. When using Ultimate to attack the enemy target, the wearer receives the Disputation effect, which increases DMG dealt by 36 percent and enables their follow-up attacks to ignore 24 percent of the target’s DEF. This effect lasts for 2 turns.
  • Worrisome, Blissful (5-star): Increase the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 18 percent and DMG from follow-up attacks by 30 percent. When allies hit enemy targets under the Tame state, every Tame stack will increase the CRIT DMG received by 12 percent.
  • Cruising in the Stellar Sea (5-star): Increases the wearer’s CRIT rate by 8 percent, and increases their CRIT rate against enemies with HP less than or equal to 50 percent by an extra 8 percent. After wearer defeats enemy, increases ATK by 20 percent for 2 turns.
  • Sleep Like The Dead (5-star): Increases the wearer’s CRIT DMG by 30 percent. When the wearer’s Basic ATK or Skill does not result in a CRIT Hit, increases their CRIT Rate by 36 percent for 1 turn. This effect can only trigger once every 3 turns.
  • Only Silence Remains (4-star): Increases the wearer’s ATK by 16 percent. If there are 2 or fewer enemies on the field, increases wearer’s CRIT Rate by 12 percent.
  • Return to Darkness (4-star): Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 12 percent. After a CRIT Hit, there is a 16 percent fixed chance to dispel 1 buff on the target enemy. This effect can only trigger 1 time per attack.
  • Arrows (3-star): At the start of the battle, the wearer’s CRIT Rate increases by 12 percent for 3 turns.
  • Darting Arrow (3-star): When the wearer defeats an enemy, increases ATK by 24 percent for 3 turns.

Best Relics for Dr. Ratio

One of Dr. Ratio's biggest quirks is his insistence on wearing a plaster mask.
One of Dr. Ratio’s biggest quirks is his insistence on wearing a plaster mask.

If you can, get a four-piece Wastelander of Banditry Desert set to boost Dr. Ratio’s Imaginary DMG and increase Crit Rate against debuffed enemies. He also gets a Crit DMG bonus against Imprisoned (the Imaginary character debuff) enemies. It’s as if this set was built for him with how well it complements his kit.

You might not get an ideal four-piece set right away, though. In the meantime, you can try wearing a two-piece Wastelander set with a two-piece Ashblazing Grand Duke set. Ashblazing is a newer set that came out with the introduction of Topaz & Numby, but it also works well with Dr. Ratio because of the 20 percent boost to follow-up attack damage. Two-piece Musketeer of Wild Wheat with two-piece Wastelander also does well with its Imaginary DMG and ATK boost. Musketeer is an older set that many players should have because of how early it becomes available.

Here are the descriptions of the set bonuses for review:

Wastelander of Banditry Desert

  • Two-piece effect: Increases Imaginary DMG by 10 percent.
  • Four-piece effect: When attacking debuffed enemies, the wearer’s CRIT Rate increases by 10%, and their CRIT DMG increases by 20 percent against Imprisoned enemies.

The Ashblazing Grand Duke

  • Two-piece effect: Increases the DMG dealt by follow-up attacks by 20%.
  • Four-piece effect: When the wearer uses follow-up attacks, increases the wearer’s ATK by 6% every time the follow-up attack deals DMG. This effect can stack up to 8 time(s) and lasts for 3 turn(s). This effect is removed the next time the wearer uses a follow-up attack.

Musketeer of Wild Wheat

  • Two-piece effect: ATK increases by 12 percent.
  • Four-piece effect: The wearer’s SPD increases by 6 percent and Basic ATK DMG increases by 10 percent.

As for Ornaments, Inert Salsotto stands out as Dr. Ratio’s best option because it raises Crit Rate and follow-up attack DMG. While raising the wearer’s Crit Rate above 50 percent might be difficult for other characters, Dr. Ratio makes it easier because of the Crit Rate build into his Traces. You’ll get at least 10 percent just from leveling him up. The rest can easily add up through his Light Cone and Relics. If you have yet to farm for Inert Salsotto, it doesn’t hurt to stick with the ATK-boosting Space Sealing Station until you do, though.

  • Inert Salsotto: Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 8 percent. When the wearer’s current CRIT Rate reaches 50 percent or higher, the wearer’s Ultimate and follow-up attack DMG increases by 15 percent.
  • Space Sealing Station: Increases the wearer’s ATK by 12 percent. When the wearer’s SPD reaches 120 or higher, the wearer’s ATK increases by another 12 percent.

Dr. Ratio Relic stats

An example of Dr. Ratio's ideal set: Wastelander plus Inert Salsotto.
An example of Dr. Ratio’s ideal set: Wastelander plus Inert Salsotto.

As a DPS, Dr. Ratio benefits most from ATK, Crit DMG, and Crit Rate. You’ll generally want to lean toward Crit Rate for his body piece, but if you already reach 70 to 80 percent with his Traces, Light Cone, and substats, then you should go for Crit DMG. For his feet, go for SPD boots so that he can squeeze in as many turns as possible.

Choose an Imaginary DMG sphere and Energy Regeneration Rope for his Ornaments. One raises his overall Imaginary DMG and the other will make it so that you can use his Ultimate as much as possible. That’s important, considering that his Ultimate applies a marker to an enemy that triggers follow-up attacks when teammates hit them.

Best teams for Dr. Ratio

Dr. Ratio's Ultimate is one of his many strengths.
Dr. Ratio’s Ultimate is one of his many strengths.

Dr. Ratio’s best teammates will complement his strengths. As a single-target and follow-up-focused DPS, he’ll need as much help as he could get to raise his damage. He works especially well with 5-stars that specialize in debuffs and follow-up attacks like Topaz, Kafka, and Welt. However, he’s a perfectly capable attacker that could smoothly run with just 4-star and free-to-play characters.

Dr. Ratio, Topaz, Guinaifen, Lynx

  • Dr. Ratio can benefit from Topaz’ follow-up buffs and Guinaifen’s ability to spread Burn. Meanwhile, Lynx can heal allies and AoE cleanse to increase survivability.

Dr. Ratio, Serval, Natasha, Kafka

  • Serval and Kafka can work together to apply Shock to enemies. Dr. Ratio and Kafka deal extra damage to Shocked enemies, so that’s especially relevant. Natasha works as the team’s healer, but you can replace her with others like Lynx, Huohuo, or Luocha. Serval and Natasha are just free-to-play-friendly choices because of how easy they are to obtain.

Dr. Ratio, Lynx, Tingyun, Welt

  • Pela and Welt debuff enemies while Lynx keeps the team alive. Tingyun can increase Dr. Ratio’s damage and charge Ultimates where needed.

Dr. Ratio, Natasha, Fire Trailblazer, Asta

  • This free-to-play team balances defense and DoTs in one. Equipping Trend of the Universal Market to any Preservation character with Taunt turns them into a DoT character thanks to its special ability. It applies Burn to any enemy that attacks the wearer and damages them based on their DEF stat. Fire Trailblazer has both things going for them: abilities that scale based on DEF and a Taunt that can trigger the effect. Asta can raise SPD and capably Burn enemies when built correctly.

Where to Preorder The Samsung Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra https://www.bignox.com/blog/noxplay1705545443Nze8SAe59Fs2WljbxJD7a/ Thu, 18 Jan 2024 10:37:23 +0000 https://www.bignox.com/blog/noxplay1705545443Nze8SAe59Fs2WljbxJD7a ...KEEP READING...]]>

Samsung announced its new Galaxy S24 smartphone lineup during today’s Samsung Unpacked livestream. The new line includes the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S25 Ultra Android phones, all of which launch on January 31 and are available to preorder at Best Buy and Samsung.

While the three models differ in size, camera specs, and functionality, all three sport a set of similar features, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with large vapor cooling–which should be great for gaming performance–as well as a collection of AI-powered capabilities. Samsung is pushing the AI features as the big draw of the S24 line, and all three phones will include “Circle to Search,” which lets users draw a circle around an object in any image to search for it on Google, and even perform two-way live translations for text and phone calls. There’s also a suite of AI-powered photo and video editing tools, including the ability to enhance video recorded at lower fps up to 120fps.

In addition to those features, Samsung also says it will support the new devices with OS generation updates and security patches for the next seven years, which is longer post-launch support than most smartphones usually get.

The Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra are all available for preorder now at various online retailers. The preorder window lasts until January 30. Grabbing one of the new Galaxy S24 during the preorder window can save you quite a bit of money, especially if you trade in an older device in good condition. Let’s go over all the places you can preorder the Samsung Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra, as well as the many preorder offers available.

Samsung Galaxy S24 preorder offers

Samsung and Best Buy are offering enticing preorder offers on the Galaxy S24 line. All preorder deals are available until the preorder window closes on January 30.

Samsung preorder offers:

Starting with Samsung’s promotional offers, you can upgrade your Glaaxy S24 device preorder to the next-highest storage tier for free. For example, you can purchase the Galaxy S24 with 256GB for just $800, rather than the standard $860. You can reduce the price even further when you trade in a qualifying smartphone, and Samsung will also give you $25, $75, or $100 of Samsung credit depending on which device you order.

On top of those preorder deals, ordering directly from Samsung also gets you 20% off Samsung Care+ with Theft and Loss coverage, six free months of Microsoft 365 Basic, two free months of Adobe Lightroom, and four free months of SiriusXM.

Oh, and Samsung has three exclusive color options for all S24 models: Titanium Green, Titanium Blue, and Titanium Orange. Those color choices are not available from other retailers.

Best Buy preorder offers:

Best Buy is offering its own batch of Galaxy S24 preorder deals as well. This includes the same free storage upgrade preorder deal as Samsung, plus up to $870 off your preorder and up to $150 in Best Buy e-Gift credit when you trade in an eligible device (final savings and credit amounts will vary). These offers are available until the preorder window ends on January 30.

Amazon preorder offers:

Amazon is offering the free storage upgrade as well as gift cards of up to $200. All of Amazon’s Samsung S24 preorders come with an unlocked phone.

The Elder Scrolls 6 Isn’t The Only New Elder Scrolls Game On The Way https://www.bignox.com/blog/noxplay17055454407qWOwraBwclPMriyAfQ7f/ Thu, 18 Jan 2024 10:37:20 +0000 https://www.bignox.com/blog/noxplay17055454407qWOwraBwclPMriyAfQ7f ...KEEP READING...]]> Bethesda Game Studios has reannounced its mobile game, The Elder Scrolls: Castles. In it, players will be tasked with building their own kingdom, similar to how Fallout Shelter plays.

The news comes from the official Bethesda Game Studios X/Twitter account, where the studio announced that it had been working on it “for the last few years.” The tweet explains that in the game, “you’ll build your own dynasty where every day in our world is a year in the game’s world.”

Those who wish to pre-register for the game can click here. Those who sign up will be “among the first to play.” As of right now, The Elder Scrolls: Castles is available in the Philippines, but it’ll “be available to more countries in the coming months.”

Despite Bethesda Game Studios suggesting in the tweet that this is the first time the game has been announced, that’s not the case. The Elder Scrolls: Castles was revealed months ago. The studio had shadow-dropped the game late last year. On top of that, YouTuber Sekaimen uploaded a twenty-minute clip of them playing the game.

The news of a new mobile game does align with what Bethesda has done in the past. In 2019, the studio acquired multiple mobile game studios to help increase its efforts in the space. For more Xbox-related news, check out our story highlighting the most-anticipated games of 2024 and beyond.

Plants Vs Zombies 3: Welcome To Zomburbia Coming This Year https://www.bignox.com/blog/noxplay1705545435mgoE025nRTNMiwRy4nGS4/ Thu, 18 Jan 2024 10:37:16 +0000 https://www.bignox.com/blog/noxplay1705545435mgoE025nRTNMiwRy4nGS4 ...KEEP READING...]]> The next Plants vs Zombies game is slowly approaching but getting ever closer, just like a zombie. EA and PopCap have announced that Plants vs Zombies 3: Welcome to Zomburbia has soft-launched in the UK, Netherlands, Australia, and the Philippines. This latest phase of testing will set the stage for a full worldwide launch sometime later this year.

While Plants vs. Zombies has been known better for its Garden Warfare series of shooters recently, PvZ3 goes back to the series’ roots (get it?) as a tower defense game. You’ll protect Neighborville from encroaching zombies, setting up the usual sorts of garden-based traps and defenses with returning favorite plants alongside new ones. PvZ3 also adds new elements like streamlined combat, a customizable Neighborville, and an episodic narrative with new characters and lore to expand the world. This game will also add puzzle challenges that will differ from the usual tower defense battles.

PopCap first announced Plants vs Zombies 3 in 2019, and it has undergone limited testing in various territories since then. This soft launch signals that it’s getting close to a full release, though, so we should be ready to gather our flower power this year.

Plants vs. Zombies first released in 2009, and the brand became a hit for PopCap, with comic book adaptations from Dark Horse. Plants vs. Zombies 2 released on mobile devices in 2013, centering around a time travel plot. It received a mostly positive critical reception, but the Garden Warfare spin-off the following year quickly became the new face of PvZ for the last several years. The studio also released a card battler, Plants vs Zombies Heroes, in 2016.
