Types of T-Dolls

T-Dolls are classified into different types, each with a general role on the team, which is called an Echelon.

Handguns (HGs) act as buffers/dodge tanks but they don’t do much damage to foes. They buff all types of T-Dolls, making them a good fit for any team composition.

Rifles (RFs) deal high damage and target the back of the enemy’s Echelon, where stronger foes are usually located. Their Rate of Fire (ROF) is low. Generally, they buff HGs.

Assault Rifles (ARs) are balanced. Their high DPS (damage per second) capabilities makes them good back-line fighters. Generally, they buff SMGs.

Submachine Guns (SMGs) are tanks on top of dealing good damage to the enemy’s front lines. They can either have high Evasion (EVA), allowing them to dodge most incoming attacks, or higher HP and lower EVA, meaning that they’ll be absorbing much more damage. Generally, they buff ARs.

Machine Guns (MG) deal a vast amount of burst damage, but their long reload times and high ammo consumption makes them unsuitable for beginners. Generally, they buff Shotguns (SGs), which have not yet been released.

Resources

Resources are the main currency of this game. There are four kinds: Manpower, Ammunition, Rations, and Parts. Many game functions consume these Resources, most notably Crafting and Combat missions. Although Resources can be purchased with premium currency, this is inadvisable as they are easily farmable through Quests and Logistics missions.

Crafting

As the star mechanic of this gacha game, crafting is your primary method of obtaining T-Dolls and Equipment. The system is similar to Kantai Collection (Kancolle), in which you spend the four different Resources in varying quantities to produce T-Dolls. These are referred to as Recipes in game and can even be saved for future reference.

As a beginner, it’s advisable to use the 430/430/430/230 recipe (430 Manpower, 430 Ammunition, 430 Rations, and 230 Parts), as this recipe will give a good variety of gun types for the early game. The production timer, however, not only tells you how long you need to wait, but also which T-Doll you’ve possible rolled. If you’re really itching that gacha action, Quick Production Contracts will make a production instant. These are also easily obtainable through Logistics missions, quests, and events.

Stats

Now you may be wondering what all those numbers on their status screen mean. Like most characters in tactical RPGs, T-Dolls each have individual stats that determine how well (or how badly) they perform in combat. The six main stats are the following:

HP: The amount of health the T-Doll currently possesses. HP is raised when levelling up automatically, but significantly increased by Dummy Linking. The higher a units’ HP, the more incoming attacks they are able to tank.

Damage (DMG): The amount of damage the T-Doll will deal with each shot to foes. The higher a units’ Damage, the more their individual attacks will reduce a foes’ HP.

Accuracy (ACC): Determines how accurately the T-Doll is able to target foes with their own attacks. The higher a units’ Accuracy, the less they will miss the opponent when they fire at them.

Evasion (EVA): Represents how well the T-Doll is able to dodge incoming attacks. The higher a units’ Evasion, the less damage they will take as more attacks from foes will miss them.

Rate of Fire (ROF): Describes how quickly a T-Doll can fire at the enemy before they can fire again. The higher a units’ Rate of Fire, the more quickly they can shoot at a foe.

Mobility: A measure of how quickly the T-Doll moves when manually repositioned within a formation in battle. The higher a unit’s Mobility, the easier it is to kite foes with them.

• The principles of the battle

First thing you need to remember, is that the team on the right side makes the first move. If the enemy army is on the right side, you need to brace yourself and prepare for a hit. Since the mercenaries will attack the opponents right in front of them, you need to place them properly. Always make sure you check their range and place them in such a manner that it will give the enemy a hard time dealing with you. However, you need to be careful of the number of tiles your mercenaries can use, so pay close attention to that.

• Setting up your team

This is very important as setting a proper team could mean the difference between victory or defeat. Each unit will have different attacking/buffing location and range so if you want to know the unit attack/buff range, you just tap the unit. If you tap and hold the unit, it will show you the target/targets of the mercenary attack/buff. You can move deployed mercenaries while holding them down. It is recommended that you place your defenders in front, this is to protect the other classes from frontline enemies that deals high damage to your team, while attackers and magicians should be placed at the back. It’s also recommended to place at least one supporter as some supporters give AOE buffs to your allies which is viable during battle.

• Practice different team formations

This is one of the most important features. Especially in the early stages of the game, you should take your time and practice different team setups and formations, to see which ones you like best and which work best. Since it will be easy to defeat the enemies, put all your effort into understanding the game mechanics, because it is not as easy as it seems! There are many factors you will need to take into consideration, from Runes to supports and how to set a good order of battle.

• Strengthen your mercenaries

There are 6 main ways to strengthen your mercenary:

1.Level up mercenaries

To level up a mercenary, you can use slime or add/him in your team. When you win the campaign mode, the game grants a huge amount of EXP to the team members. Slime can be obtained from campaign modes, event dungeon or missions.

2. Leveling up mercenary skills

3-star mercenaries will have 2 active skills and 1 awakening skill while 4-5 star mercenaries will have 3 active skills and 1 awakening skill. You can only upgrade their skills to increase the skill’s effectiveness by using the exact same mercenary as skill leveling material.

3. Runes

You can equip runes to your mercenary to boosts their stats. Each mercenary will have 2 rune slots for you to equip. There are five different types of runes, each focuses on a specific stat.   Assault rune – Increases ATK Vital rune – Increases HP Shield rune – Increases DEF Fatal rune – Increases Crit Rate Rage rune – Increases Crit DMG   You can only obtain rune pieces mainly through the Rune Temple from the challenge mode.

4. Equipping Soul Gear

Soul Gear is basically an equipment which is attributed to a certain mercenary. Soul Gear is divided into Weapon, Armor, and Amulet. All classes except supporter weapons increase ATK while supporter weapons increase AGI, Armor increases HP and all classes except supporter amulets increase both ATK and HP while supporter amulets increase AGI and HP. Soul Gear can only be obtained mainly through the Co-op Raid from the challenge mode or by collecting Soul pieces and summoning with them.

5. Ranking up mercenaries

When a mercenary is at maxed level, you can rank up that mercenary to increase their star rank by 1. Take note that the mercenary’s level will reset back to level 1 and you cannot rank up mercenaries who are already at 6-stars. To rank up a mercenary, you will need other Mercenaries at the same rank as the target mercenary by the same number of stars.

6. Awakening mercenaries

Upon reaching a certain level, your mercenary can be awakened to improve their stats, unlocks the awakening skill of that mercenary and change your mercenary appearance. You can awaken a mercenary only after ranking up a mercenary once.

Being smart with how you earn Resources is one thing, keeping them safe is another. In the game, as much you want to simply put together the numbers that would avail you progress, it is important to keep in mind that other players can easily plunder your Base to get them. Whenever other people scout your base, one of the defining reasons to push through with an attack is the number of resources that they will potentially gain. As a countermeasure, you might want to keep yourself empty handed most of the time. As a Protection too, build up your Storehouse. It defines a threshold limit of protected Resources.

• Upgrade your buildings

Once you are done with the tutorial, always build as many different types of buildings as possible. Every building that is built or upgraded will increase your overall power. Also, upgrade your Aircraft Carrier Base as much as possible. The higher the level of your Aircraft Carrier Base, the higher your other buildings can be upgraded in terms of level. You will require different types of resources to build or upgrade a building. You will need 3 types of resources for upgrades: Electricity, Oil and Uranium.

• In Combat

First, is the recon ability. As you are an army commander, you have the option to recon and see what the enemy has in their defenses. This will give you valuable information, such as how large their defenses are, and what armies they have. With the information you are given, you quickly utilize the different offensive and defensive units to attack the weak points of the enemy. For instance, if the enemy has quite a few frontline attackers, but few backline damage dealers, you can focus on having multiple backline threats to destroy the enemy frontline, as well as destroy their backline. The opposite is true as well. In essence, tactical is playing rock paper scissors, and always knowing what the enemy will throw.

Unlike other match-3 puzzle games, matching four gems here in WWE: Champions is incredibly helpful! Some classes have advantages over others, but to make sure you’re prepared for all situations it’s best to enhance and evolve your Superstars whenever possible. It’s important to upgrade your Superstars often, but it’s equally important to have upgraded Superstars in every class. This allows you to remain as versatile as possible so you’re ready for anything the game throws at you.

• Superstar Class and Talent Advantage

One of the biggest advantages you can have in WWE Champions is making sure that your superstar is going up against a superstar in a weaker class. Similar to Rock, Paper, Scissors, some classes offer a huge advantage over others. Make note of the list below and always be sure to use the stronger class in each matchup.

• Keep your team upgraded.

Since you’re going to up against all sorts of superstars, you’ll need a diverse team to take them all down. Study the superstar classes that we mentioned above, and make sure you have at least one of every class. Be sure to upgrade their moves and level them up and you’ll be ready for anything!

• Colour Code Your Abilities

 Each superstar has different special attack abilities and as such are triggered by different coloured gems. Therefore be sure to first check what colour powers up your superstar and then focus on those colours. Note that colour coded gems will deal more damage than un-coded coloured gems. This means that it may be better to take a three gem power up move rather than a four gem move that doesn’t power up abilities. Furthermore, when powering up abilities it is also best to try to power up your ‘finishing’ move first and save it until your opponent has been weakened enough to finish ensure a quick victory.

• Redeem free loot

Every four hours, the game will reward you with free loot, which may include TP posters, wrestler posters, health packs, coins and some cash. You can open a briefcase filled with free loot every four hours, which means you should set up your notifications so that the game can remind you any time you have got a new briefcase to open.

A large crowd playing at the same time can also properly synchronize their attacks to defeat bosses more easily. • Free teleport

Beginners have access to free teleport in the game. This is a rather important perk that most of the new players miss to check and use prior to leveling up their HQ past level 5 or after 3 days in the game. The importance of the free teleport is to properly situate you near your corps so that it will be efficient to work with them when performing corps-related activities such as boss battles.

• Upgrade your defenses

Make sure your defenses are upgraded as high as you can. Tap the defensive line and upgrade it so that you can be better ward off other players when thy attack you.

• Increase your HQ level

Keep increasing your HQ level. You will unlock new gameplay modes as well as new buildings for your base. Your HQ usually takes longer to upgrade than other buildings, so set the upgrade right before you log off, then when you come back, you will have an upgraded HQ to work with.
