An Award-Winning Narrative Game Is Coming To PlayStation 5 Soon
Developer Half Mermaid and Sam Barlow have announced that the narrative game, Immortality, is coming to PlayStation 5 on January 23.
“From the inception of this project, the goal has been sharing Marissa Marcel’s life and work with as large an audience as possible,” Barlow said. “So I am thrilled to bring Immortality to PlayStation gamers and bring them face to face with a lost legend.”
The game will cost $20 on the PlayStation Store and will have haptic feedback and controller speaker features thanks to the PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller.
Immortality was first released in 2022 for PC and Xbox Series X|S, and it came to mobile via Netflix shortly after. The game also won Best Narrative at the 2022 BAFTA Games Awards. In GameSpot’s Immortality review, we said, “The latest game from Sam Barlow and Half Mermaid builds on what you’ve come to expect while also subverting its own genre in clever ways.”
